What Happens in a Free Consultation

Simply imagine, in just a few sessions you can stop coping and start living! Isn’t it time you gave it a try?

Think of the consultation for our clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy programs as a one hour motivational interview for both of us. We want to make sure we can help. We take an in-depth look into your lifestyle to see what barriers you are hurdling, emotional issues you’re dealing with and the behaviors the emotions are causing.  Next, based on how long you’ve been dealing with these issues and how severe they are, we begin constructing a solution. We make absolutely sure during this consultation that you’re a good candidate for clinical hypnosis or hypnotherapy.

During your consultation we will answer any and all questions you have about clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy because let’s face it, there’s a stigma surrounding hypnosis. How can something used as stage entertainment help you? Right? We’ll cover everything until your comfortable and confident in us, our recommended program, and in yourself. Next, there’s no obligation to move forward.  Take time to think about it or talk it over with your supporting friends or family members.

Clinical Hypnosis FAQs

If you're new to clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy, here are a few common questions our patients have during the consultation:

Generally speaking, yes. But not:

  • If the person doesn’t want to be
  • If the person has a below average (70) IQ
  • If the person is drunk or stoned

The lightest state of hypnosis (Alpha) is achieved easily. We all enter a hypnotic state several times per day. It’s that state you are in when you are watching TV, reading a good book, or playing video games. It’s the state you are in when you are just waking up or just going to bed. You are not fully conscious, but you are not fully unconscious either. In this state you’re up to 200 times more suggestible than when you are fully awake (Beta).

When some people talk about hypnosis they state “I can’t be hypnotized” and then they will list some reason or another they believe this statement to be true IE: I’m an intellectual, I have a strong will or something of the like. The reality is that the two areas necessary for having a good hypnosis session are:

  1. Intelligence, you need at least an average IQ otherwise a person wouldn’t have the focus necessary to follow into hypnosis.
  2. Creativity is the other component. You need at least an average amount of creativity in order to see yourself making the changes you’re interested in.

The best part is that the more of either of these categories a person has, the better they’ll do in hypnosis!

With regards to having a strong will that’s great! That means that the changes you make will be even more unchangeable. But the very notion of being strong means you have the capacity to use it in a manner that is best for you. That means picking it up when it’s necessary, and putting it down when that’s more beneficial.

And PLEASE, if a hypnotist has told you that you’re ‘unhypnotizable’, call us and don’t give up.  We never seem to run into that problem and if we do, we’ll refund you on the spot.

If we can’t help you achieve a deep state of hypnosis, we’ll refund you on the spot.  Just ask your  clinician or intake specialist before you leave.  Success from any kind of coaching, medical or hypnosis process cannot be guaranteed. Individual results will vary greatly and in accordance to your commitment, effort, determination, hard work, and ability to follow directions.

Using our specially developed hypnosis and hypnotherapy programs, most people are able to quickly resolve the cause of their emotional and behavioral symptoms (anxiety, depression, smoking, weight loss, PTSD and much more). This eliminates the need for coping techniques and often prescription drug regimens aimed at the emotional or behavioral symptoms (not the cause).

We commonly work with our client’s health professional to provide well-rounded adjunct solutions when needed.

Hypnosis is used for entertainment purposes (stage shows) or in a clinical setting such as in hypnotherapy to make positive changes in a person’s life. It is used often in the medical and dental fields as well. It is used by psychologists and psychiatrists as an adjunct to their treatments. Self-hypnosis is an integral component in yoga, bio-feedback and meditation. Top athletes are using self- hypnosis when they focus during competition to “get into the zone.”

No, hypnosis is not mind control. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The hypnotist can not make you do or say anything you ordinarily would not do unless you wanted to. You remain in control with clinical hypnotherapy.

Oftentimes clients are unsure, or frightened of hypnosis. Their image of hypnosis is based on movies, or on stage hypnotists. These images do not represent the reality, or the potential, of clinical hypnotherapy.

  1. Stage hypnotists put out a call for willing audience participants—a self-selecting sample that excludes those too reserved or circumspect to participate in, what is, essentially, a show. The hypnotist then reduces the pool further by testing for “hypnotizability,” rejecting those who don’t respond immediately. The finely-strained sample that remains on stage for the demonstration is a select group, looking for fun and open to the suggestions that might yield that fun.
  2. Movies, well, they are, quite simply, fiction, and the image of the hypnotist in the film is sensationalized as part of the thrill of the film.

Neither of these represents the truth of clinical hypnosis.

Each session lasts up to two hours. Session/Program pricing for clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy varies widely from $100-$195 depending on your individual needs. Payment plans are also available on an individual basis.

We offer a free consultation in order for you to get all of your questions answered including how many sessions you’ll need.

That depends entirely on what you’re coming in for in the first place.

  • Behavioral issues can usually be handles in one or two sessions of clinical hypnosis.
  • Emotional issues four to six.  That’s approximately 600 talk therapy sessions packed into every six clinical hypnosis session.
  • Our smoking cessation program-most people quit after there first session but we offer you three more for free to use for the period of a year.

Your free consultation ensures you understand what we’re doing, how many sessions it will be, and how much it will cost.  We want you to form an educated opinion about this therapy before you jump in.
