Prior to Your Smoking Cessation Session

Congratulations on your decision to become a non-smoker. Please make sure you have completed your forms. The results are electronically sent (no need to print) to your clinician with information relevant to your reason(s) for coming to see us. Your wellness evaluation results allow your clinician to become familiar with your unique circumstances and be able to serve you better. Additionally, the evaluation doubles as our intake forms, so there’s nothing to fill out when you come into see us.

Please follow your program instructions carefully:

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes. The reason for this is that in hypnosis you will experience deep relaxation and at that level of relaxation anything constrictive becomes much more apparent and distracting to you than usual.
  • Plan to quit smoking. While it may seem obvious, you should empty your ashtrays, smoke your last cigarette as you will be a non-smoker at the end of the session.
  • Listen to your Stress Release MP3 on the day(s) before your session but not on the day of your session.

  • If you need to modify your appointment time, please call (407) 316-2473 24 hours in advance to avoid a missed appointment fee. We often have clients waiting to be worked into the schedule, and it would be nice to allow them that courtesy.

Once you have arrived in the office, simply sign in and have a seat in the lobby. While we don’t anticipate lengthy waiting times, however on occasion you may need to wait up to fifteen minutes.  We have coffee and bottled water at the ready so don’t hesitate to ask!  Your comfort is important to us.

Smoking Cessation Follow-Up Instructions

Thanks for coming in. Congratulations on quitting smoking for good! It’s great to see new faces in our practice, and we hope you had an enjoyable experience. To continue getting the results you want from your session, please begin by downloading your reinforcement session, located under “Education” in your portal, to the device of your choice.

Your clinician recommends for you to listen to your Stop Smoking support MP3 each evening before sleeping for the first thirty days to reinforce the behavioral changes made during your smoking cessation session. This recording is different from other recorded sessions in that in addition to using proven, compelling, hypnotic suggestions, it includes background music with embedded subliminal messaging designed to reinforce, many times, the suggestions provided.

While it is true that you, much like the vast majority of clients, might never use the recording as you’ll have no desire to smoke, the support session is provided as reinforcement to ensure you achieve your goal of becoming a nonsmoker. It serves an additional role as a long-term reinforcement, should circumstances arise in the future that trigger a relapse.

This program also includes three free, no questions asked, hypnosis sessions should you feel that you need additional help for twelve months following your appointment. Any of these sessions can be office, concierge, telephone, or Zoom sessions.
